Three Bigfork swimmers, Austin Cantrell, Erica Hadden, and Ashli Wade, qualified for the 2001 Montana Short Course State Championships ing to Montana Athletic Club swim coach Kristen Fredericks, Erica qualified for the finals in all her events, placing in the top seven in each one, including the all-around state championship. Both Austin and Ashli beat their best personal times in each event.
