Wow! Bigfork's First Ever Divisional Track Meet

Yes folks, after decades of holding the Bigfork home track meets in Kalispell, the community stepped up and built a beautiful all weather track and field facility. It is beautiful and the students are rightfully proud of their school. Track is such a great high school sport, everyone can participate and the encouragement you get from your fellow athletes is wonderful. Congratulations to Wayne and Sue Loeffler for their years of dedication. This has been Sue's personal dream for many years. It is so great that it finally came true. Last year she was named coach of the year by the Montana High School association for her many years of coaching track and for her dedication to the student athletes. She never gave up pushing for a new track and field facility. Congratulations to the Bigfork Booster Club the primary fund raising organization for extracurricular activities at Bigfork High Scholl. We may be small but we have a big heart and I know the students are grateful for the new facility and the chance to host a Divisional Track Meet. Way to Go Bigfork Schools and Community.

I don't have results of the track meet as yet. So check back from time to time and see if they have been posted. If you want to see them immediately, check the Bigfork High School web site for results.

Sorry I didn't get more pictures but I wasn't really there to cover the event as much as to volunteer for ticket taking. Next year, I am going to cover a home track meet more extensively. I can see now that there are great opportunities for photographs at these events.
